Q. Are you bonded and insured?
A. Yes. TailBlazers is insured through PSI LLC. Included in this is their special personal property endorsement which provides a broader coverage such as needed through a bond. We will gladly provide you with a copy of our coverage.
Q. What areas do you service?
A. TailBlazers mainly services Montville, Pine Brook, Towaco, Fairfield, West Caldwell, Boonton. Lincoln Park, Lake Hiawatha and Parsippany. We are willing to travel outside this area. However, we are inclined to add a small travel fee if you live outside of these towns.
Q. I have to go away for a weekend, can you stay at my home and watch my pets overnight?
A. If we are available, we would be happy to. Overnights tend to book up quickly so TailBlazers advises making your reservation a month ahead. We have found that this service is beneficial for young pets who might be nervous about staying alone and pets with medical conditions. For older dogs and healthy pets, we highly recommend our Vacation Care package.
Q. Do you need a copy of my key?
Yes. This is usually collected during your free initial consultation. We also ask that you provide us with any alarm and/or security codes. This information is never shared with anyone and is always kept in a secure place. We will keep your key on file in case you ever need last minute service. If you want your key returned after services are completed just give us a call and we will return it to you at your convenience.
Q. Are you scared of bigger dogs?
A. No way! We love all dogs, big and small. However, if you can't control your pet please don't expect that we will be able to. We are very comfortable and very experienced with animals but if your pet is disobedient and/or not socialized we will not be able to care for them properly.
Q. I have a cat. Do you care for other animals beside dogs?
A. Of course! If they're part of your family we will care for them. TailBlazers has cared for birds, ferrets and many cats. Just provide us with instructions and we'll make sure kitty (bird, hamster, ferret,etc.) is fed, pet and content.

Q. How will I be billed for services?
A. TailBlazers will leave a detailed invoice at your home for completed services. We accept billing in terms of monthly, weekly or per visit.
If you prefer we can also send the invoice through email where you can now pay us with credit card ( Visa,Matercard or Discover) or PayPal. Payment is expected before new services are rendered. For Vacation Care and Overnight Care, a 50% deposit is required before you depart.
Q. Why use a pet sitter?
A. Pet sitting is a wonderful alternative to kennel care for your pets when you travel. Many pets will adapt to a boarding enviornment, but it is not ideal for every pet. Dogs can also find the experience overwhelming, and some become depressed or lose their appetite. Your pets will be closely monitored while they are in our care and we will alert you immediatly if we notice any illness or odd behavior.
